From the Principal’s Desk…

Dear North Middlesex Families,

NM Cares is hosting a free ‘Knowledge is Power’ event on Friday, April 13th at 6:30 p.m. at the Townsend Ridge Country Club. Presenters from Advocates Inc. will answer drug related questions, including why young people start using drugs, and how to seek channels of recovery for yourself or a loved one. A free Narcan training session will be held immediately after the presentation. Narcan (generic name Naloxone) is an opioid reversal nasal spray, available from local pharmacists without a prescription.

I realize that there can be a lot of stigma around addiction, but I feel strongly that knowledge is power, and I hope you will consider joining this conversation.

Sincerely,

Isaac Taylor, Principal

WHAT’S HAPPENING…

Teen Publication Workshop

The Lawrence Library in Pepperell is hosting a workshop for teens.  In this workshop, teens create an original writing or drawing using “storymatic” cards while learning the art of publishing and the business of being published in TMC’s award-winning publication, giving them the tools and inspiration to share their voice.  For teens interested in the visual and literary arts, the workshop is a great opportunity to bolster their college applications and portfolios. Please register at lawrencelibrary.org by clicking on UPCOMING EVENTS. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, April 4th from 7-8pm.   Please call 978-433-0330 with any questions.
