NM Knows!

Principal Taylor's weekly look at the academic and creative world that is NM

It's April 4

A Ghostly Production

The NM music department put on a theatrical masterpiece with their production of Phantom of the Opera. All the actors and actresses did a stellar job in showcasing not only their acting talent, but also their singing and dancing talent. Although the performance was suspenseful and interesting, the talent is what really kept the audience engaged. The stage was transformed into a glamorous scene, with realistic opera boxes for the actors and actresses to portray theater watchers, as well as a catwalk that allowed for a realistic portrayal of the dramatic scenes of the opera. The love triangle that took place between Christine (Lillie E.), the phantom of the opera (Alex N. and Vicomte Raoul (Hyrum T.) was truly a sight to see. Act One of the play was introduced with a lovely singing performance, and ended with a shocking event. The play finished with a lot of drama, and it was evident that the performers were passionate about their acting. Congratulations to the NM students both on stage and back stage and to the music department for all of their hard work with the show. We encourage everyone to attend a performance in the future!
