A Brunch of Good Food

The Steps and Achieve programs served their annual Thanksgiving meal this week, and for the first time parents were invited. It was great to see our students, staff, and families enjoying a brunch of homemade waffles, bacon, quiche, fresh fruit, french toast, as well as assorted cheeses and nibbles.

This year the theme of the meal was ‘Thanksgiving Brunch,’ which contrasted with the more traditional ‘Foods we are thankful for’ theme last year. In line with their community living curriculum, students plan the menu, purchase the ingredients, cook the meal, and plan the decor.

So Good You Might Lose Your Head! (Macbeth pun)

Congratulations to the outstanding cast of 16 that have dedicated their time for months to make this weekends performances one's that you didn't want to miss. Led under the direction of teacher Paul Thompson, these individuals presented Shakespeare's Macbeth with a modern day twist that was truly a pleasure to watch.

Mrs. Blake's B-Block stage craft class aided in the performance, creating the play bill ad set, acting as stage crew, doing hair and make-up before the play, and running the lighting and sound effects.

The NM Robotics Team competed at North Andover High School on Nov 19. They  went 5-1 in qualifying rounds finishing 3rd out 43 teams.
