From the Principal’s Desk…

Dear North Middlesex Families,

I would like to thank the community organization NM Cares for sponsoring today’s assembly, “Unguarded – A Conversation with Chris Herren.”

This was an highly emotional event for many of our students and staff, and for me. I was expecting Chris to focus on his personal story, but he spent most of the time asking students to focus on their own story. He challenged us all to be courageous; to be true to ourselves. I would like to sincerely thank the many students who demonstrated that courage today. While this was a very difficult experience for some, I do believe it has the potential to start conversations that many of our students desperately need.

For more information on Chris Herren, visit The Herren Projectwebsite. The student outreach email is

Guidance counselors and faculty were available during and after the assembly today to speak with students. If your child was affected by this presentation, please do not hesitate to reach out to his or her counselor or an administrator.
