From the Principal’s Desk…

Dear North Middlesex Families,

On Thursday we ran our first ‘One Minute to Change’ in advisories, and took one minute to collect change from the pockets of faculty, staff, and students. We are still in the process of counting the money collected in this one minute, so I will send out an update next week. This month’s collection will be donated to PATCH community outreach in Pepperell. Their mission is to ‘provide Pepperell residents in need with a caring, compassionate resource to meet their basic needs, including food, personal care items, and referrals to resources for additional assistance.’ My sincere thanks to everyone involved in supporting this local charity!

A reminder that students aged 18 or older can register to vote during lunches on Thursday September 29.

This was our first full week of school, and classes are in full swing. In Monday’s NM Knows I will be discovering how some of our science students are taking active learning to heart.

Concussion Awareness Week!

For the second year, the MIAA and ThinkTaylor have partnered up to help bring awareness about the signs and symptoms of concussions and the severity the injury can have on a person.  The Girls Varsity Soccer Team was recognized by the ThinkTaylor Organization for being one of the top four teams promoting concussion awareness on Wednesday night. Way to go Ladies!

NM Patriot Boosters

The NM Athletic Boosters will have a booth at the Pepperell Fall Festival tomorrow, promoting the athletic department, raising money for teams, and spreading the word on what they are doing.  They will have some fun games, raffles and athletic gear.  Come by and support them if you are around.

The NM boosters are always looking for volunteers for the concession stand and other club related tasks. Please email Patty Collins, President,  if you are interested in contributing.
